Programa de desenvolvimento rural na APA Costa de Itacaré – Serra Grande

In partnership with several public agencies and non-governmental organizations, Floresta Viva worked on the restoration of degraded areas within the PESC since 2009. One of the highlights that year was the invitation from the SOS Mata Atlântica Foundation for IFV to be its partner in Southern Bahia for the Forest of the Future Project, with the responsibility of planting 100,000 seedlings in the PESC. The construction of our Nursery is a legacy of this initiative. Within the scope of the Forest of the Future project, the IFV also planted another 25,000 seedlings in the PESC to neutralize the carbon emissions of the Salvador Summer Festival in Bahia.

The construction of the Nursery was also a legacy left by this initiative. Within the scope of the Floresta do Futuro project, the IFV also planted over 25,000 seedlings in the PESC to neutralize the carbon  emissions of the Salvador Summer Festival (BA).

From 2009 to 2011, 100 hectares (247.1 acres) were restored in partnership with the Public Prosecutor’s Office/NUMA - Atlantic Forest Center - Bahia. With SEMA (Bahia State Environment Secretariat), 30,000 seedlings were planted at PESC to neutralize CO2 emissions in the State of Bahia (Bahia Global Forest project)
